Lean is a practical way of improving processes and can be applied to all activities of an organisation. This conference provides a practical guide to implementing leaner pathways across primary care trusts, clinics and practices including an overview of the role of lean and six sigma in primary care, developing lean leadership, identifying and eliminating unnecessary steps within the patient journey, prioritising hot spots for quick wins and sustaining lean transformation. The programme also includes a series of workshops providing the opportunity for more interactive learning.
