The Improvement Foundation has been running programme of events to support PCTs and practices with the roll out of practice based commissioning.

• Medway PCT ran a half-day on aimed at practice managers. Content included the basics of PBC, data and budgets. Another half-day is planned for GPs.
• West Kent PCT ran a half-day as the beginning of a series aimed at reviewing clinical care pathways to support PFI and practice based commissioning. Attendance included primary and secondary care clinicians, managers and others.
• Surrey PCT ran a half-day event which was attended by primary and secondary care clinicians, managers and others. Content included the key elements of practice based commissioning and data.

Results, outcomes and changes are being actioned locally by the PCTs, with support from the IF Centre as required.
