The team in Evelyn, recognising the rich ethnic mix in the area, decided to hold an event which was culturally acceptable, particular for targeting women. The team decided on the best venue, did some publicity, decided on relevant information stalls, organised physical activity workshop, including a belly dancer, organised healthy Vietnamese food and set up a health check stall. The event was well attended and many health checks were done. Some women took away information in their own language for their husbands who, they had come to realize, as a result of the information at the event, were particularly at risk of developing this kind of illness.
