Bottle Exchange for Under-Fives - Gateshead

Gateshead teams, aware of the poor level of dental health in the under-fives, worked with local health visitors and the Sure Start programme to encourage two and three year olds to give up their feeding bottles. They were invited to an event where they were given beakers in return for submitting their bottles, and the parents were advised by the dental health promotion team. The work is now part of a continuing programme across Gateshead.
